The 1in5k Dyslexia Dash takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Freestone District Park in Gilbert, Arizona. The event combines an in-person 5K run/walk, a 100-yard Kids Dash, and a virtual run option, with fundraising organized in support of dyslexia awareness.

Registration is available in-person, by mail, and virtually; virtual registrations are limited to U.S. addresses. All in-person and virtual participants receive a custom finisher's medal and a custom event dri-fit tech shirt, with a shirt opt-out available for a small discount. Mail-in registration is accepted using the organizer's form.
The 5K is chip timed with real time results and event photos available online and via mobile apps. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5K. Pre- and post-race refreshments are provided. The event welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons (those users must start at the back); leashed pets are allowed. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted on the course. The event supports fundraising for IDA Arizona, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on Structured Literacy.
