The Phoenix community run/walk takes place on September 12, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona, at 1102 N Riverview. The local event is part of the multi-day One Flag Forward relay held September 12–16, 2026.
The Phoenix course is an out-and-back 2.5-mile route on the paved Rio Salado Pathway between Riverview Park and S McClintock Drive. The trail is accessible to all abilities and open to participants who prefer to walk or run at their own pace. Registration for the Phoenix event is free.
One Flag Forward is a relay in which a single American flag travels from New York City to Washington, D.C., carried over five days and 250 miles by Gold Star and surviving family members, veterans, service members, military family members, and civilian supporters. The relay includes representation from every branch of the United States Armed Forces and connects local community events like the Phoenix run to a larger commemoration of national service following September 11, 2001.
