Course and logistics
Courses use rolling desert single track and old jeep trails based on the Pemberton Trail Loop; longer distances are multiples of that loop with about 800 feet of elevation gain and loss per 25K loop. Aid stations include a fully stocked main station at start/finish and a remote Granite Tank aid station; provided items list water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food options. This is a cupless race; runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site.
Crews are allowed at the start/finish area for all distances. Pacers are permitted only for the 75K, beginning with the third loop. A drop-bag area will be available at the start/finish. Courses will be marked with orange ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, and laminated signs; wrong-way trails will be marked with blue and white checkerboard flagging. Medical support is provided on site. Parking and shuttle arrangements differ by distance; there is a park entry fee per vehicle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
