Apple Harvest Road Races - Southington, CT
The Apple Harvest Road Races take place on October 4, 2026 at the Southington Community YMCA. The event offers a range of running and walking options for different ages, plus family-focused activities and community teams.
Distances and events include:
- 5 Mile Race
- 5K Race
- Middle School 5K for grades 6–8
- 2 Mile Health Walk on a flat route with the Linear Trail and a finish at the Town Green refreshment area
- Y CUP 1-Mile Race for 4th and 5th graders
- Little Fritter Fun Run for children ages 2–7
All proceeds support individuals and families through YMCA financial aid, scholarships, and local programs. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the Southington Community YMCA in the days leading up to the event.
Awards and participant benefits are included: medals for top finishers, age-category awards (7–10, 11–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, 80 plus), school scoring for youth cups, and post-race refreshments. Specially designed t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis for the earliest registrants in several events, with specific quantities reserved for each race category.
