Apple Harvest Road Races : Southington, CT
The Apple Harvest Road Races take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Southington Community YMCA (29 High Street). The event program includes multiple timed races, a community walk, and a series of children’s runs organized by grade and age.
Events and formats include:
- 5 Miles classic road race
- 5K community road race
- Middle School 5K for grades 6 through 8
- 2 Miles guided health walk on the nearby Linear Trail
- Y Cup 1 Mile for 4th and 5th graders
- Little Fritter Fun Runs for children ages 2 to 7
Timing and awards: StartLine Race Services provides race timing with instant results and finish-line photos. Medals and age-category awards are offered across multiple age groups, and the Middle School and Y Cup competitions award points and medals by grade. A $200 prize is available for male and female course records in the 5 Mile and 5K races. Additional memorial awards recognize top local finishers.
Logistics and extras: Packet pick-up and t-shirt distribution are scheduled at the Southington Community YMCA in the days before the event. T-shirts are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis for specified events. Post-race refreshments are provided.
