About the race
The 9th Annual Anthony Bocchimuzzo Memorial Scholarship Fund 5K is a community run and walk held in memory of Anthony Bocchimuzzo. The event takes place on October 4, 2026 at the Suffolk County Police Headquarters, 30 Yaphank Avenue, Yaphank, NY 11980. The program includes an untimed kids fun run in addition to the main 5K distance. Registration fees shown include processing fees.
Posted prices include a 5K Run/Walk option and a Kids Fun Run option. T-shirts are guaranteed for 5K participants who register by August 21. Runners who register three weeks in advance can have their name printed on their bib.
Bib pickup requires a bib number; last-minute registrants (within 24 hours) will receive a bib number by text within 90 seconds. On event day, basic amenities include water, bagels and fruit. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 12 and under, 13 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 plus. The event supports the Anthony Bocchimuzzo Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes graduating Longwood High School seniors who reflect qualities associated with Anthony.
