The 3rd Annual Fun Run / Walk and Knockout Tournament
The event takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, Colorado to honor the memory of an individual on their birthday weekend. Its stated purposes are to award nine scholarships, raise funds for additional and future scholarships, raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, and share the message YOU Are Enough.
The Fun Run / Walk follows a 3.1 mile loop through the Green Mountain neighborhood. Entry for the run or walk is listed at $25 per participant. Registered participants receive gift bags and prize opportunities.
The Knockout Tournament features the playground basketball shooting game Knockout with multiple rounds available. Punch cards may be purchased for $15 or a $25 punch card plus t-shirt, prize drawing entry, and a goodie bag; single rounds will also be available on-site. Up to eight divisions are planned and may be combined if needed, including divisions by grade and gender and an open top flight. Winners from initial rounds advance to later rounds to determine division champions who will receive prizes.
Additional on-site activities and offerings include prize basket drawings, a silent auction, quilting, friendship bracelet making, mental health resources, merchandise, refreshments, and a food truck. Proceeds are directed to the memorial scholarship fund with a projection of nearly $14,000 in scholarship awards for 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
