Anita Nott Jesmond Dene Run

The Anita Nott Jesmond Dene Run is an annual athletics event held in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The race takes place on a Monday evening and follows a route through several local green spaces. The course is approximately 5 km in length and passes through Jesmond Dene, Armstrong Park, and Heaton Park. It is officially noted as an unmeasured course and operates under a UKA permit.

The start and finish lines are located on Armstrong Bridge. The race headquarters, as well as the post-race presentations, are situated at the Corner House pub on Heaton Road. Participants can find parking available in the local area near the event site. There is an extensive prize list for participants.

Registration is open to both affiliated and unaffiliated club runners, with different entry fees for each category. If the event does not sell out in advance, entries may be available on the day. This event also includes a charitable component. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the passing of the race's namesake, entrants have the option to donate to Macmillan Cancer Care during the registration process. The organizing club, Heaton Harriers, matches these contributions to support the charity chosen by the family. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
