Anglesey 10K run
The Jones o Gymru Anglesey 10K is a closed road race based at the Anglesey Showground in Mona, Ynys Môn on 23 May 2027. The event covers a single 10 km distance and is staged alongside a half marathon route.
The course starts and finishes at the showground and runs west along the A5 before turning north onto quiet country lanes. The route passes through agricultural landscape and the hamlet of Tynlon, then offers long range views of Eryri (Snowdonia) including the Carneddau and Glyderau peaks. Runners approach Llyn Cefni reservoir and return over gently undulating roads toward the showground, with views across the Menai Strait near the finish. The route is fully closed to traffic and is fully signed and marshalled.
Timing and event facilities include chip timing with live results and SMS notifications, drink stations supplying water and High5 products, a secure bag drop, and an event village with music, commentary and food vendors. Finishers receive a locally sourced slate coaster, a bag of Jones o Gymru crisps and an event memento. Prize giving is held after the race with overall and veteran category awards; prizes must be collected on the day. Competitors must be at least 15 years old.
