Anglesey 10K run
The Anglesey 10K is a fully closed road race that starts and finishes at the Anglesey Showground in Mona, Ynys Môn. The course runs west along the A5 before turning onto quiet country lanes that pass through traditional agricultural landscapes and hedged field boundaries. Runners pass the hamlet of Tynlon and join the half marathon route, with long range views of Eryri and the mountain skylines of the Carneddau and Glyderau framed across the Menai Strait. The route arcs south toward Llyn Cefni, passes the reservoir with water views, and returns to the showground along gently undulating roads.
The event includes professional chip timing with live results and SMS text results, full route signing and marshalling, drink stations offering water and High5 products, a secure bag drop, and access to an event village with music, commentary, food vendors and shopping. Finishers receive a locally sourced slate coaster and a bag of Jones o Gymru crisps. Prize giving takes place after the race and prizes must be collected on the day. Participants must be at least 15 years old. Final instructions and practical details are provided to entrants before the event. The event is bilingual with services available in English and Welsh.
