Conwy Half Marathon : event overview
The Conwy Half Marathon is organised by Run Wales in the town of Conwy. The race starts and finishes on the bridge by the quayside in front of the 700+ year old Conwy Castle. The event is in its 18th year; in 2025 over 4,000 runners took part and many personal bests were reported.

Route and terrain
The course follows the road beside the River Conwy toward Deganwy, continues along the West Shore in Llandudno, goes along Church Walks past the pier, then circles the Great Orme with coastal views including the Isle of Anglesey and Puffin Island, and returns to Conwy Quayside. The Great Orme section is undulating and includes steep parts, followed by a multi-mile downhill back to the shore.
Facilities and race operations
Drink stations are provided at about every 3 miles and at the finish; portable toilets are located near mile 3.5 and mile 7. First aid cover is provided at the start and finish with mobile medical teams on course; runners are asked to complete the medical details on the back of their race number. A technical T-shirt and a bespoke medal are available for finishers; the chosen T-shirt size is printed on the race bib and cannot be changed on the day. A baggage area and a merchandise tent are on the quayside. The whole route will be closed to traffic during the event; marshals direct crossings and headphones are not permitted. A park and ride operates about one mile from the start. Runners are expected to maintain roughly a 12–15 minute mile pace if required by cut-off rules.
