The Anglesey 3 Peaks 55k Run Challenge

The Anglesey 3 Peaks 55k Run Challenge is a guided ultra-distance route on the Isle of Anglesey. The route covers 55 km, visits three of the island’s highest tops and uses a mix of coastal and inland trails. The course starts and finishes at Lligwy beach and includes more than 2000 m of ascent.

The day is organised into five sections, each approximately 9–15 km in length. Checkpoint support is provided at the end of each section with spare gear access, first aid provision and food and drink. Fully qualified guides lead the group and are responsible for navigation and the overall pace. Moving time is expected to average just under 4 mph, with rest stops at each checkpoint; the emphasis is on maintaining a steady pace rather than speed, and the pace will be set by the Run Leaders.

A limited number of places are available. On completion participants receive a wooden medal and a certificate recognising the achievement. The event description also notes the opportunity for participants to meet others during the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
