Angels' Place Race
The Angels' Place Race is an annual athletic event held in downtown Clarkston, Michigan. Achieving its 19th year, the event takes place in the spring and brings together runners, families, and teams at the race location on Valley Park Drive. The event serves to support the organization Angels' Place, which assists individuals with developmental disabilities within the local community.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10k run
- 5k run or walk
- 1-mile run or walk
The event organizers provide resources for participants to prepare for the races. A complimentary Couch to 5K (C25K) training program is available in collaboration with Runnin' Gear. These training sessions are held on Thursdays and Saturdays, with additional independent workouts suggested for Tuesdays. The race route passes through the downtown area, and the event features a recognized honoree each year to highlight contributions to the development and support of the community programs.
