Terrain Race - Irvine is an obstacle course event held at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California. The event features multiple course options and a festival area for participants and spectators. The venue is located at 5305 Santiago Canyon Rd.
Distance Options
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km: An obstacle-based course featuring over 15 structures including mud, walls, ropes, and monkey bars.
- Mini Monkey Run: A 0.5-mile scaled-down version of the course designed for children.
Course Information
The main course is structured as a 5 km (approximately 3 miles) route that incorporates the natural terrain of Oak Canyon Park. Participants will encounter at least 15 obstacles throughout the race. Participants must be at least 14 years old to run the 5 km course alone, while children aged 7-13 may participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Mini Monkey Run is open to children aged 2-10, and parents may accompany them on the course at no additional charge.
Event Logistics
A packet pickup is scheduled at the venue on the day before the race from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Participants who do not collect their packets during this window may do so on race morning for a $5.00 cash fee. The event staff recommends arriving 60-90 minutes before a scheduled wave time to allow for parking and check-in.
The venue may collect a cash-only parking fee of up to $20. A gear check service is available for a $5 fee. The event also includes a festival area with music, food vendors, and sponsor interactions. Spectator access to the venue and festival area is free of charge.
