AME Dolphin Dash 5K and Fin's Fun Run
Organized by the Anna Maria Elementary School PTO at Coquina Beach Pavilion by the Playground, this event offers a family-friendly fun run and a separate timed 5K, plus a virtual 5K option. The venue is at 2650 Gulf Drive, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217, and dogs are not allowed on the beach.
Distances:
- 1,000 m Fin's Fun Run (untimed, stroller-friendly)
- 5K Dolphin Dash (timed with chip-timed bibs)
- 5K Virtual 5K (not timed; finisher medal provided)
Participants in each in-person event receive a finisher medal at the finish line. The Fun Run is untimed and takes place on a shaded path; it is intended for enjoyment rather than competition and is open to all ages. The 5K course runs along the beach and nearby paths and awards first, second, and third place finishers in various categories. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal, with options for local pickup or mailing at additional expense.
There will be signage and volunteers along the routes. Children under 10 are encouraged to have a registered adult run with them. The event schedule includes race-day registration and packet pick up, a national anthem, a warm up led by Reed Physical Therapy, the runs, a cool down, and awards presentations.
