Event overview
The Always Leave Smiling 5K Run/Walk is the first annual 5-kilometer event held in Hastings, Michigan on October 18, 2025. The race headquarters is The Legacy Golf Course at 1550 N Broadway, Hastings, MI 49058. The event is organized by the Always Leave Smiling Foundation, which was founded in 2025 to honor a local resident; all proceeds will support Barry County residents with cancer treatment expenses, assist youth entering trade programs, and help develop young golfers.
Logistics and entry
Registration costs are listed as: Adults (over 12) $35 and $45 after 10/1; Kids (12 and under) $15 and $25 after 10/1. Packet pick-up and late registration are scheduled Friday, October 17 at The Legacy Golf Course from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and day-of packet pick-up on Saturday, October 18 from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Registered participants receive an Always Leave Smiling finisher’s medal, a short-sleeved custom race shirt, a 5K race bib, live timing with instant results, post-race food and drinks, and age-group awards.
