Insch School Rainbow Run
Insch School Rainbow Run takes place on 22 August 2026 at the Bennachie Leisure Centre pitches in partnership with Jog Scotland Insch and the Bennachie Leisure Centre. The event is a community fundraiser to raise money for playground refurbishment, including a wooden trim trail course and a sensory nature garden.
The course runs around the BLC pitches and features a new, longer route with obstacles and multiple powder stations. Colour powder used at the event is described as non-toxic and made from natural ingredients but may stain. All participants will receive a pair of sunglasses for eye protection and will be given a medal, water, and some powder after the run.
The entry fee is £8 plus booking fees and entries are non-refundable. All participants must be registered and charged. Participants must be aged 3 or above; children aged 3 to 5 who are not yet in school must be accompanied on the course by an adult, and any accompanying adult must also be registered and pay to participate. There will be no entries on the day.
Additional arrangements include food vans and a barbecue by the pitches, limited parking with restrictions near the BLC during the prior 5K, on-site registration in the BLC, toilets in the centre, uneven ground on the pitches, no dogs, and event photography that will be shared on Insch School PC PTA socials.
