Glen Tanar Trail Running Festival
The Glen Tanar Trail Running Festival takes place on 25th and 26th July 2026 at the Glen Tanar Estate in Aboyne, within Cairngorms National Park in Royal Deeside. Entries are open for the weekend of trail events.
Races are held over multiple measured distances. Distances include:
- 10 km
- 15 km
- 25 km
- 55 km
Courses follow estate tracks and trails beside heather moorland, through Caledonian pine forest and along the River Tanar. The event runs across natural surfaces and varied terrain typical of the Glen Tanar Estate.
Support information is provided for participants, including athlete guides and race results. Organisers also list camping as an option for the event and maintain related resources such as essential kit guidance, FAQs and volunteering information.
