Alaska Run for Women
Alaska Run for Women is an annual all women run in Anchorage that raises funds for breast cancer research and supports women’s health. The event also aims to showcase the talents of Alaska’s women athletes. Since 1993 it has brought together thousands of participants; the organization reports it has raised more than $6.5 million and is marking its 34th year.
The event is offered in both an in-person format and a virtual option. The in-person activities return to the UAA campus at 3400 Seawolf Drive, using forested trails for the course and the Cuddy Quad as a place for celebration and connection. The campus offers multiple parking areas.
Event services and programs include registration, team formation, volunteer opportunities, bib pick ups, course maps, parking and shuttle information, stroller guidelines, survivor recognition, raffle fundraising, results and awards, a triple finisher program, grants for community groups, and event merchandise. Donors and sponsors are listed by tier and contribute to grant awards and race operations.
The site lists the 2027 edition on June 5, 2027. The event is organized by a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and maintains donor and grant programs related to breast cancer resources. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
