Alamo Beer Challenge : Race 1 of 4
This event is Race 1 of the Alamo Beer Series Challenge 2027, held August 7, 2027 at the Tuscany wedding venue on Old Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, TX. It is presented as the first milestone race in a series that follows an 18 week training schedule for runners preparing for the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 10k
- 5k
- 3-person half marathon relay each leg 5k exchange at start/finish
- .05k fun run
- 5k walk only
The series places a 5k at each event to provide a shorter option. Virtual entries are available for several distances and virtual runners may complete the distance on their own schedule. Packet mailing is available for a fee presently set at $12.
Competition and event rules include overall and masters awards for male and female, age group awards based on chip time, and awards for 1st through 4th in age groups. Runners must wear bibs on the front of shorts and avoid bending the bib because the timing chip is embedded. Walkers should check in at the timing table and declare walking. Additional policies: no dogs, no refunds, transfers incur fees ($20 two days before, $30 the day before) and no transfers after race day. Course maps are listed as coming soon.
