AdventHealth Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon & 5K Series
The Cool Sommer Mornings Series is a four-event multisport series held at Clermont Waterfront Park on Lake Minneola from June through September 2027. Each race in 2027 carries a Legends of Olympus theme with the following dates and themes: June 13 Poseidon: Quest of the Hippocampus, July 11 Quest for Freedom: Rise of the Phoenix, August 8 Storm Peak of Zeus, and September 12 The Lost Temple of Medusa.
Event formats and distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk : 3.1 miles
- Sprint Triathlon and Relay : 440 yd swim, 8.2 mi bike, 5K run
- Sprint Duathlon : 1 mi run, 8.2 mi bike, 5K run
- Sprint Aquabike : 440 yd swim, 8.2 mi bike
- Sprint Aquathlon : 440 yd swim, 5K run
- Double sprint formats repeat the sprint sequence
Course notes: the swim is a rectangular course in Lake Minneola with a projected water temperature of 82–84°F and wetsuit use governed by USAT rules. The bike course travels clockwise around Lake Minneola. The run is an out-and-back on the South Lake Trail.
Amenities and competition details available at the venue include a themed finisher medal, event T-shirt, and an accurately measured course. Awards are given by overall, masters, age-group, relay category, and top finishers for duathlon and aquabike events. Series options include multi-race bundle discounts and a Series Bonus Medal for athletes who complete all four events. A virtual option is also noted.
