Adelphi Panthers for a Cause 5K Run/Walk
Adelphi Panthers for a Cause 5K Run/Walk is a community running event held at Adelphi University, Nexus Building, One South Ave, Garden City, NY 11530. The event takes place rain or shine and features multiple distances for participants of different ages.

Registration options include paid entries for the 5K and 1K, a reduced student 5K option, and a free Kids Fun Run that requires registration. There are additional donation options with suggested amounts of $5, $10, and $25. Registration fees are non-refundable and are used toward race expenses. Participants who register at least three weeks in advance can have their name printed on their race bib.
Race materials are distributed at a registration table outside the Nexus Building on race day; a self-lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number. Amenities listed for participants include refreshments and permission for jogging strollers.
Awards are planned for the top three male and female overall finishers, and there is a TF/XC Panther Parent category noted for bragging rights. All funds raised for this edition of Panthers for a Cause will benefit the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America, a Long Island nonprofit that provides supported social and recreational activities for individuals with autism and their families.
