The Active Texan Tinsel Trot
The Active Texan Tinsel Trot is scheduled for December 5, 2026 at Lake Walk in Bryan, Texas. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K and 10K are professionally chip timed. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and the 10K. The 1 Mile Fun Run is not chip timed.
Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes December 5, 2026. Posted registration fees are $35 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Packet pickup, course maps, and parking details will be shared closer to the event.
Lighting and safety notes are provided for evening conditions. Many participants will finish after dark for the 5K and 10K; glow sticks and bracelets will be available on the course. 10K participants are required to have a headlamp or another personal light at the start because portions will finish after dark, though much of the course is well lit by streetlights. The 1 Mile Fun Run is expected to finish before it gets dark.
The race finishes on The Green by the Lake Walk Pavilion. The event takes place alongside the Lake Walk Holiday Night Bazaar, which features local vendors, shopping, and live entertainment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
