About the race
The BCS Turkey Trot presented by Wright-Naeger Dentistry is the 16th annual Thanksgiving morning community run held at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center area in College Station, TX. Registration opens mid September and the event is organised as a family-friendly, non-competitive gathering with a one mile fun run/walk and a 5K.
The course layout includes a 5K loop around the Stonebridge neighborhood and a one-mile route around the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center campus. The start and finish are located at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Hwy 6 and Rock Prairie. The event is held rain or shine and is not timed.

Participants receive a race t-shirt and post-race refreshments, which include slices of pie and beer from a local brewery. The first 300 families registered receive a throw blanket. Proceeds from the race support local non-profit organisations, including Mercy Project. Registration fees vary by category; listed examples include a 5K adult fee of $38.43, a 1 mile adult fee of $33.10, student rates, and a family rate of $118.52.
