Accept Zero Run, Walk, and Virtual 5K
The Accept Zero Run, Walk, and Virtual 5K is scheduled for April 19, 2026 in Independence, Missouri at 4501 S. Bass Pro Drive. The event raises funds for suicide prevention training and supports individuals in crisis through educational programs and financial assistance for basic needs and treatment.
The event program includes:
- Accept Zero 5K Run/Walk - 5 km run or walk
- Youth Fun Run - short race for ages 12 and under
- Accept Zero 5K Virtual Run/Walk - complete on any course and upload results
Packet pick-up is offered on April 17 at two local locations and on race morning at the event site. Virtual participants receive mailed packets, medals, and shirts when registered before the shirt deadline and pending shirt availability.
Teams of four or more can register together; team creation requires a password and triggers a $5 adjustment when the fourth team member registers. No pets are allowed at the live event.
Awards include a monetary gift for the top overall male and female finishers, participation medals for all finishers, and custom medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age category starting at 5-9 and continuing through 80+. If the event cannot be held live for public health reasons, organizers will consider moving it to a later date in 2026 and transferring registrations.
