Event Overview
The 361° Abersoch Half Marathon is a road race held in the seaside village of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. The event is part of the Abersoch Triple Crown race series.
Course and Distances
The event features a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles. The course is primarily on roads, with a final kilometer run along Abersoch Beach to the finish line. The route passes through the villages of Llanengan, Llangian, and Sarn Bach.
Event Features
Drink stations offering water or isotonic sports drink are located at approximately 5.7 miles, 8.7 miles, and 11.3 miles, as well as at the finish. The event uses ChronoChip bibtag timing. It is affiliated with the Welsh Athletics Association.
At the finish on the beach, there is music, a race compere, a beach bar, a BBQ, and massage services. All finishers receive a zinc alloy medal with a bespoke lanyard, a technical race T-shirt, and recovery food and drink. There is a prize fund of £1,000 and bespoke trophies.
