The ROC Wales

The ROC Wales is a triathlon-style event that takes place in Abersoch and Snowdonia. The date is Saturday, May 9, 2026. The total distance is 115 km with a total ascent of 5,825 feet.

The event starts with a 1.5 km sea swim in Abersoch Bay. This is followed by a 50 km bike route into the Snowdon Massif, described as fast and progressively undulating.

Participants then run 12 km on foot up and down Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon. The ascent uses The Watkin Path, covering 6 km with 3,330 feet of ascent to the summit. The route then returns 6 km back down.

The event continues with a 50 km return cycle and finishes with a 1 km run along Abersoch beach.
