A Walk in the Park for Pediatric Cancer
The event is a community walk held at Turner Park, 3110 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The route uses a 1/3 mile oval and is organized with options that cover between 1 and 3 miles around the park. There are separate listed walks for adults and for children.
Proceeds support the Children's Nebraska Pediatric Oncology Department. The walk is part of a family Ice Cream Day celebrating Butter Brickle Ice Cream, which was created in Omaha in the 1920s. After the walk, children’s entertainment, outdoor games, and free Butter Brickle ice cream are provided.
