A Brighter Day 5K & Family Walk
A Brighter Day 5K & Family Walk is the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota’s second annual event held at Lake Phalen in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The event includes in-person options for a 5K run and a 5K family walk, and a virtual 5K or family walk option that can be completed remotely.
The virtual option can be completed anytime between May 10 and May 31, 2026. Registration follows a tiered fee schedule: $30 through April 19, 2026; $40 starting April 20, 2026; and $50 on race day. Participants aged 12 and older must register. Children aged 11 and under do not need to register but will not receive a bib number or a t-shirt.
Participants may create personal fundraising pages to raise additional support. Most participants raise between $100 and $250. All proceeds support Children’s Law Center of Minnesota’s work providing free legal representation to youth in foster care.
By participating, individuals grant the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota permission to use their name, photograph, and video in educational, news, or promotional materials in print, electronic, or other media. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
