Woodbury Lakes Half Marathon
The Woodbury Lakes Half Marathon takes place in Woodbury, Minnesota, starting and finishing at Colby Lake Park. The event features a course that moves around four of the city's lakes using a network of paved trails. Participants can choose between three different distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k Run
- 5k Run
The route is not a certified course; it has been measured using a wheel and mapping software to approximately 13.11 miles for the longest distance. The terrain includes many turns and several road crossings where traffic will remain active. Course markings are provided at major turning points and road crossings, though crossing guards may not be present at all locations.
Water stations are positioned along the half marathon and 10k routes, while the 5k distance does not have aid stations on the course. Participants are encouraged to bring their own specific hydration and nutrition. The races use gun timing with chips to record finish times. Overall male and female awards are presented for the first, second, and third place finishers in each event. Every finisher in the half marathon receives a three-inch wooden medallion.
