Event overview
The 9th Annual 963 Beulah Challenge is a night trail race hosted by Terrain Trail Runners in Greensfelder County Park, Wildwood, Missouri. The event is capped at 75 participants. A portion of the proceeds is donated to Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (GORC). The race is open to male, female, and non-binary runners; non-binary runners may register without documentation. The event participates in the Trail Mix Fund to help cover registration fees for runners who need financial assistance. The race maintains a no-crew, no-pacer, and no-spectator policy due to limited parking and shelter space.
Course, format and logistics
Runners complete laps of the Beulah Loop, a 4.2-mile single-track trail with approximately 397 feet of elevation gain and loss per loop. The trail surface is dirt with rocks and roots; participants are advised to bring a solid headlamp. Aid is located at the Beulah Shelter, which serves as race headquarters, the start/finish area, and the single aid station; drop bags may be left at the shelter at check-in. The 2026 edition will run the loop counter-clockwise. The event is cup-free; participants must bring their own drinking receptacle or may purchase a collapsible cup at check-in.
Distances offered (by number of loops and approximate totals):
- 50K - 8 loops
- 25.2 Miles - 6 loops
- 12.6 Miles - 3 loops
Swag is minimal; a custom technical hat is available for purchase for those who want it. Refund and general policies are available from the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
