Swing Through 5k
The Swing Through 5K is a road running event held on the Calhoun Community College Decatur/Tanner campus in Tanner, Alabama. The course is certified and flat and is conducted on a closed campus route. The start and finish are located at the Health Science Building on the north end of campus.
Chip timing is provided by River City Runners. Post-race food and drinks are available. Awards are given for Overall and Masters male and female, and for 1st through 3rd place in the following age groups: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Race day registration and packet pick-up take place at the Health Science Building. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by September 7, 2026. Online registration must be completed by September 9, 2026 by 9:00 p.m. Parking is available near the building to the north and east. Calhoun students, faculty, and staff receive a $12.00 discount applied at the end of the transaction.
