9/11 Heroes Run - Charleston, South Carolina
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event held on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina. The event focuses on honoring the heroes of September 11th along with veterans, active duty military, first responders, and families of the fallen. It is open to participants of various ages and fitness levels, including runners, ruckers, and walkers.
The event features several categories based on a 5k distance:
- 5k Run (Individual or Active Duty Military/First Responder)
- 5k Ruck (Individual or Active Duty Military/First Responder)
The rucking divisions are organized in partnership with GORUCK. Rucking is a discipline derived from special forces training where participants complete the course while carrying a weighted rucksack. Individuals who register specifically for the rucking division receive an exclusive patch.
Registration for the various race categories is divided into general individual entries and discounted entries for active duty military and first responders.
