The Dirt Dash : Johns Island County Park

The Dirt Dash is a trail running event held at Johns Island County Park, 2662 Mullet Hall Road, Johns Island, South Carolina. The event offers multiple distances that use a measured looped course and provides on-site amenities and support for participants.

The course is a roughly 3.3 mile loop composed of wide open cross country type trails, single and double track trails, and short grassy sections. The aid station is located at the start/finish area and is stocked with snacks such as gummy candy, chips, pretzels, water, and an electrolyte drink. The event is cupless; participants should bring a cup, bottle, or hydration bladder. A designated drop bag area is available near the aid station. Organizers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Packet pickup is scheduled at THE FOOT STORE in Mount Pleasant the Thursday before the event and there is also day of event pickup at the Palmetto Ultras tent near the start/finish. Tent and RV camping is available on site the night before; the park has a bath house with bathrooms and showers and an evening s'mores gathering is planned.

Additional notes: registrants by August 19 receive a t shirt; finishers receive a custom finisher medal; top three male and female finishers in each distance receive awards. Registration transfers and distance changes are allowed up to three days before the event via the registration system. The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine unless CCPRC deems conditions unsafe; no refunds are issued. A one year deferral is offered for pregnancy and postpartum needs.
