9 Locks Challenge
The 9 Locks Challenge is a point-to-point road and canal-side run covering 10K from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill along a historic canal route. The course follows a mix of leafy paths and industrial canal towpaths and includes a notable nine-lock climb in the final stretch.
The organiser provides coach transport from the finish area to the start as part of the race fee. Parking is available at the Waterfront car park in Brierley Hill (postcode DY5 1XA); parking near the Hop House may incur charges. Registration and bib collection take place at the Bonded Warehouse. Toilets are available at the Bonded Warehouse and at nearby Wetherspoons / Hop House.
Practical race services include a bag drop (note that bags may arrive at the finish after some competitors), a water station at the 5 km midpoint, and a seeded start arrangement. A race booklet and a race briefing video are supplied by the organiser, and past results are maintained for previous years. Finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
