9 Locks Challenge
The 9 Locks Challenge is a point-to-point 10 km running event that follows a historic canal route. The course takes participants from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill, reflecting the industrial heritage of the region through a mix of leafy paths and areas of industrial character. The event is held twice a year, with a summer edition in May and a winter edition in November.
The route is noted for its specific terrain, concluding with a climb over nine canal locks in the final section of the course. A water station is provided for participants at the halfway point, approximately at the 5 km mark.

The start area is located at The Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge (DY8 4LU), where registration and bib collection take place on the day of the event. The finish line is situated at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill (DY5 1XD). Free parking is available at the Waterfront car park (DY5 1XA).
The organizers provide a free coach service to transport participants from the finish area parking to the start line before the race begins. Participants living near Stourbridge may also book return transport for after the event. A bag drop service is available, though runners are informed that they may reach the finish line before the transport vehicle arrives with their belongings.
