Event
The 9 Locks Challenge is a point-to-point 10K run from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill along a historic canal route. The course follows canal towpaths and other paths and includes a climb past nine canal locks in the final stretch. The event uses a seeded start and awards a one-off finish medal. A water station is provided at the 5 km / halfway point.
Logistics
Registration and race number collection take place on the day at the Bonded Warehouse. A bag drop is available; participants are advised the bag drop may arrive at the finish area after some runners have finished. Toilets are available in the Bonded Warehouse at the start area and at Wetherspoons / Hop House at the finish. Parking is available at the Waterfront car park (post code DY5 1XA) with no charge; parking near the Hop House incurs a fee. The organiser provides free coach transport from the finish area to the start; the service is planned with multiple coaches that cycle until all competitors are transported and the journey is typically about 10 to 15 minutes. On-the-day entry may be limited and a medal cannot be guaranteed for late entries. OP Events operates the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
