9 Locks 10k Summer Challenge
The 9 Locks Challenge is a point-to-point 10 km race along the Stourbridge Canal. The route runs from the Bonded Warehouse (DY8 4LU) to the Waterfront in Brierley Hill (DY5 1XD) and includes canal-side running with some trail-like sections.
The course features a continual incline and concludes with the climb of the nine Delph Locks near the finish. The race uses seeded start times and chip timing, with a King of the Hill competition included in the timing results.
Organising partners are StuWEB Race Timing and OP Events. The event offers goody bags, a medal, prizes, free parking and coach transfer, and a supportive festival atmosphere for participants and spectators.
