9 Locks 10k Summer Challenge
The 9 Locks 10k Summer Challenge is a point-to-point running event covering 10 km along the Stourbridge Canal. The course runs from the Bonded Warehouse (DY8 4LU) to the Waterfront in Brierley Hill (DY5 1XD). The route is canal side with some trail sections and features a continual incline, with the climb of the nine Delph Locks located near the finish.
The event is organised by StuWEB Race Timing in partnership with OP Events. Runners are assigned seeded start times and the race is chip timed; the timing includes a King of the Hill element. The event offers goody bags, a finisher medal, prizes and describes a supportive, festival atmosphere. Logistics listed for participants include free parking and a coach transfer.
