Event overview
The 704 Blue Run takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas. The course uses the Indian Creek paved trails and offers two distance options:
- 5K run/walk
- 7.04 mile run
The event was created in memory of an Olathe police officer who died while preparing for a Presidential escort and also honors other Olathe officers who have been lost. It is hosted by the Olathe Police Foundation to raise funds for college scholarships for Olathe Police Department families.
Logistics and race services
The race location and packet pickup are at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E Sheridan St, Olathe, KS 66062. Event parking is accessed from 143rd and Lindenwood using the second entryway into the parking lot. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, April 17 (Noon-6pm), and race day pickup and registration are available.
Participants will be chip timed, receive a performance-style t-shirt (not guaranteed for registrations after March 29), and can view results online. Early registration fees are lower through March 29; fees increase after that date. Fee examples on the event page are: 5K : $30 early, $35 later; 7.04 mile : $40 early, $45 later.
