About the race
704 Blue Run is an annual memorial event in Olathe organized by the Olathe Police Foundation. It was created in memory of Olathe police officers who died in 2015 and 2018 and serves as a tribute to officers from the community.
The event takes place on the Indian Creek paved trails at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E Sheridan St, Olathe, KS 66062. It offers two course options:
- 7.04 miles run
- 5K run or walk
Participants are chip timed, receive a performance style t-shirt, and can view results online. The event is hosted to raise funds to establish college scholarships for families of Olathe Police Department members.
Registration opened on August 24, 2026. Early registration fees apply through March 28, with later registration fees in effect through the race; registrations received after March 28 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Packet pickup is at the race location, with a scheduled pickup on Friday, April 16, noon to 6pm, and additional packet pickup and registration available on race day. Event parking is accessed from 143rd and Lindenwood by taking the second entryway into the parking lot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
