Event overview
The 6 Geese a-laying Run is one day in a 12 Days of Christmas race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). Entrants choose one target distance:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
Each lap is 2.5 km, so the 5k route is two laps. The course is offroad, contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, and is described as very tough with a hill on each lap and a series of ups and downs through two vineyards. The event is open to walkers and runners. Participants must be aged 18 or over.
Entry, format and rules
Entrants have a 7-hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. Race bibs are collected at on-site registration. A virtual option allows the distance to be completed remotely; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email and, after verification, the same type of medal as on-site finishers. Verification can be via the organiser’s Strava group or by submitting proof from a GPS device; international postage for medals incurs an additional cost. Entry fees are non-refundable. Standard fees listed are Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00, and Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. A charity entry option is available for a reduced fee on the condition of meeting a fundraising requirement. Entrants must follow organiser instructions, ensure they are fit to participate, and accept the event terms and conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
