Event Overview

The 5k to Feed the 5k is a community fun run held in Anthem, Arizona. Hosted by the Gavilan Peak Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this non-competitive event takes place during the Easter weekend. The primary purpose of the gathering is to support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at the St. Rose Campus.

Distance Options

Participants can choose from two different distances:

  • 5 km fun run
  • Half-Mile Kids Run

The 5 km route utilizes local sidewalks, and participants are required to follow all traffic and pedestrian safety rules. The Half-Mile Kids Run is held entirely on the church property to provide a contained environment for younger participants. Parents are permitted to run alongside their children or spectate from the sidelines.

Registration and Activities

There is no monetary registration fee; instead, entry is granted in exchange for pantry item donations. For the 5 km event, the donation requirement is 10 items per runner, while the children's run requires 10 items per family. Requested donations include non-perishable goods such as cereal, canned meats, pasta sauce, and hygiene products.

Following the runs, the event continues inside the church with refreshments and Easter-themed displays. The morning concludes with an Easter egg hunt for children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
