Event details

The 5k to Feed the 5k is an Easter fun run held in Anthem, AZ at 2503 W Anthem Way. The event is hosted by the Gavilan Peak Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is intended to collect food and household items for a local food pantry. Entry is by donation: 10 items per runner for the 5K and 10 items per family for the Half Mile Riddle Run. Proceeds help provide meals for families in need during Holy Week and the Easter season.

The event program includes a 5K fun run and a family friendly Half Mile Riddle Run that stays on church property. The Riddle Run is a short scavenger hunt with faith centered riddles at stations. After the runs there is an Easter egg hunt for children.

This event is described as a fun run, not a competitive race. Participants will use sidewalks and should follow traffic and pedestrian rules for safety. Recommended donation items include pasta sauce, apple sauce, canned fruit, vegetables and soup, peanut butter, pasta, rice, beans, toothbrushes, shampoo or conditioner, and toilet paper.
