40th Annual Walk & 5K to End HIV
Whitman-Walker Health presents the 40th annual Walk & 5K to End HIV on September 19, 2026, at Anacostia Park in Washington, DC. The event brings together a community walk and a timed 5K run to support ongoing programs and research related to HIV.
The event takes place at the Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavilion, 1500 Anacostia Drive SE, Washington, DC 20020. Free on-site parking is available. A free shuttle operates between the Anacostia Metro station and the park on a first-come, first-served basis. Road access into the park will be restricted during the event.
Funds raised support lifesaving research services, prevention outreach, treatment programs, and research studies for people living with or at risk of HIV, regardless of ability to pay. The Walk honors those lost to HIV, supports people currently affected by HIV, and raises funds for services and studies aimed at ending HIV in the community. Registration for the event is open and donations are accepted; campaign progress toward a fundraising goal is reported publicly.
