ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Capital Area
The Capital Area Run/Walk is an in-person event with a virtual participation option, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 at The Fields at RFK in Washington, DC. The event brings the local community together to raise funds that support programs for prostate cancer patients and their families.

Event features include survivor and caregiver recognition, a kids dash, sponsor village, and family-friendly activities. The virtual option runs through the RunGo app and offers a real time leaderboard, downloadable run/walk playlist, and the ability to share photos and selfies. Virtual participants can choose their own course and still be eligible for recognition rewards.
Registration for the run/walk is free; the event functions as a fundraising activity. Donations and funds raised through the event support ZERO Prostate Cancer programs such as education and awareness, screening and early detection initiatives, financial and care navigation, emotional support services, advocacy, and health equity efforts. Fundraising incentives include an official run/walk t-shirt for participants who raise a minimum amount by the stated deadline; survivors and patients who register by the deadline receive a complimentary shirt mailed before the event.
