2026 Oktoberfest 5k & 10k
The event takes place on September 18 near Port City Brewing in Alexandria, VA. It offers two measured race options held along Holmes Run with some scenic views of the water. The course is mostly paved and fairly flat, with a short light gravel section on the out-and-back; the 10k completes the out-and-back twice.

This is a chip timed event. Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and one glass of beer from Port City Brewing. Water stations are provided along each course; the 10k has five stations and the 5k has two, with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are located in Port City Brewing.
The event awards top finishers overall and in age groups, and top overall finishers are not eligible for age group prizes. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Sippin Series. A virtual race option is offered for those who cannot attend in person.
Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. The event benefits NoVA Women’s Rugby. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
