Event Details
This is the first annual PGB 5K Aloha Run in Kapolei. It takes place on Saturday, December 19, 2026. The event is held at the Daniel K. Akaka VA Clinic at Kaiko in Kapolei, Hawaii.
Event Format
The event includes three separate activities:
- PGB Aloha 5K: An in-person 5 km run, walk, or roll.
- PGB Warrior Keiki SuperHeroes vs Villains Event: A free kids' event for participants aged 12 and under, featuring a costume contest and run.
- Virtual PGB Aloha 5K: A virtual 5 km option for those who cannot attend in person.
Charitable Cause
The event is a fundraiser. Proceeds support the Gold Stars Christmas Party, the Kapolei VA Clinic Veterans Dinner, and the Fallen Heroes Family Camp. A unique feature allows participants to direct a portion of their registration fee to one of several pre-selected local organizations supporting children, veterans, seniors, and community programs.
Registration and Logistics
Registration pricing for the in-person 5K starts at $30 and increases on specific dates, with an early bird deadline of July 21, 2026. A t-shirt is guaranteed with early registration. Packet pickup is offered on the Friday before the race and on race day morning, though locations are listed as "TBD". For virtual participants, race bibs, shirts, and medals are shipped after the event date, with shipping included in the registration fee.
