Hawaii's Largest Half Marathon
The Hapalua is a major distance running event held in Waikiki, Honolulu. Organized by the Honolulu Marathon Association, the event is open to all participants and features a course that highlights iconic coastal and city landmarks.
The course begins near the beach in Waikiki. From the start, participants travel through Honolulu and around Diamond Head, a prominent volcanic tuff cone. The route concludes at Kapiolani Park. As with other events from this organizer, there is no time limit for the race, allowing participants to complete the distance at their own pace.

All finishers receive a medal and malasadas upon completing the course. The event also features an Elite Team Challenge and a specialized training plan option. Participants and their families can access accommodation through an official hotel partner, with several options located within walking distance of the start and finish lines.
