The Hapalua – Hawaii's Half Marathon
The Hapalua is a half marathon held in Waikiki, Honolulu on April 12, 2026. The event covers the standard half marathon distance of 13.1 miles and the course starts by the beach in Waikiki, takes in sections of Honolulu and Diamond Head, and finishes in Kapiolani Park.
Entry is open to all participants and there is no time limit for completion. As part of the event experience, finishers receive a medal and malasadas. The race is organised alongside other events in the same series, including a new Hapalua IKI event for 2026 and the King's Runner 10k, plus virtual race options.
Logistics note that the official hotel partner is Outrigger Hotels and Resorts; the Outrigger properties in Honolulu are described as being within walking distance of the start and finish and offer discounts to participants.
