Ho'omau 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
The Ho'omau running event takes place in 'Ewa Beach, Hawaii, starting from the Wai Kai waterfront recreation facility on the coast of West O’ahu. This marks the fourth annual edition of the race, which is organized by Aloha Racing. The event is held at the same location as its sister race, Makoa, which occurs in November.
Participants navigate courses that follow the shoreline at One’ula. The routes are designed to be flat and fast, providing runners with views of the waterfront and the surrounding landscape. The event focuses on the connection between the athletes and the local land, water, and Hawaiian culture.
The following distances are available:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
All three race distances are categorized as running races. The event is hosted at a facility recognized as Hawaii's only waterfront recreation center. Registration fees vary depending on the chosen distance, and the event takes place entirely within a single day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
