Ho'omau
The Ho'omau event is a road race day held Saturday, May 8, 2027, at Wai Kai / One'ula Beach in Ewa Beach on the leeward coast of O'ahu. The program includes three distances for athletes: a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon, all routed along the shoreline and using mostly paved surfaces.
Courses are measured multiple times for accuracy. Surface details are published for each distance: the 5K is 100% asphalt, the 10K is roughly 87% asphalt with 13% packed soft surface, and the Half Marathon is about 94% asphalt with 6% packed soft surface. Aid stations average about one mile apart and provide water, electrolytes, energy products in some cases, and first aid. Medical support is provided at start and finish areas.
Event features include finisher medals, cooling towels at the finish, free race photos, disposable timing chips, gear check, multiple portable restrooms, and electronic results. Post-race meal options noted include breakfast burritos and chocolate milk with vegetarian choices; these items are optional add-ons. Bib personalization and shirt ordering are guaranteed for registrations completed by 11:59 PM Tuesday, April 20. The event benefits Fur-Angel Foundation, a nonprofit that rescues underprivileged dogs and provides food, supplies, and medical care.
Pricing ranges for registrations listed by tier include approximate costs of $35 to $65 for the 5K, $55 to $85 for the 10K, and $85 to $115 for the Half Marathon.
