H.I.P.H.O.P. 27th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk (Hybrid Event)
This event is a hybrid 5K fun run/walk that offers both in-person and virtual participation. The in-person location is Johnson Park in Piscataway, New Jersey. Virtual participants may complete the 5K distance in a location of their choice, such as at home, on a treadmill, in a yard, or on a local street.
Registration opens August 18, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. Entry fees are listed as $30 for registrations on or before September 26, 2026 and $35 for registrations on or after September 27, 2026. A team rate of $25 per person is available for teams of six or more. The first 100 registrants will receive a T-shirt.
Health and safety guidelines will be in effect at the time of the event. Participants may submit their finish time online and may upload a photo of themselves wearing a virtual bib to show participation. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to HIPHOP-Promise Clinic, Community Health Initiative, Asylum Clinic, and community sites that serve underserved populations. The event is organized by the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Homeless and Indigent Population Health Outreach Project (H.I.P.H.O.P.).
