5K for Pizza - Jersey City
The 1st Annual 5K for Pizza takes place in Jersey City, featuring a scenic course along the city waterfront. This athletic event is organized with a focus on community and local food, specifically highlighting local pizzerias. Participants navigate a flat and fast route that is open to both runners and walkers.

This race is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event and utilizes professional chip timing to record participant results. The course is designed to accommodate various paces and provides views of the waterfront area starting from 30 Hudson Street.
Registered participants receive two full-size slices of pizza upon completion of the race. The finish line festival includes a pizza party with offerings from several local establishments, including Imposto's Pizza, Park Avenue Pizza, Pizzeria on Pine, Tino's Artisan Pizza Co., and Pizzeria Las Americas. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers. Additionally, the event features a Best Dressed category where participants wearing pizza-themed attire can win gift cards to local pizzerias.
