32nd Annual 5K for Health
The 32nd Annual 5K for Health is a community running event located in Belton, Missouri. The race course measures 3.22 miles and follows a route that begins and ends at Southwick Stadium. During the run, participants circle Cleveland Lake.
The event supports the Cass Community Health Foundation's safety net dental clinic. This clinic provides dental care to families in Belton and Harrisonville who may not otherwise have access to these services. The foundation recently opened a new facility in Belton to increase the capacity for patient care in the Cass County area.
Participants receive an official event t-shirt with their registration, though specific sizes are only guaranteed for those who complete their entry by April 6. The event also offers an option to register dogs for a separate fee. Registered dogs receive a dedicated bandana and treats.
Following the completion of the physical activity, a health fair is held at the stadium. This gathering includes music, various activities, prizes, and a meal featuring all-you-can-eat pancakes. Each registrant is provided with an individual fundraising page and has the option to form or join a fundraising team to support the dental clinic's mission.
