About the race
The Sweetheart Run takes place in Overland Park, Kansas on February 14, 2027. The event includes in-person races and virtual options and is organized around multiple distances.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Kids Fun Run (50 to 200 yards based on age)
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
The in-person 5K and 10K award overall, age group, and two person team prizes. All in-person finishers receive a finisher's medal. Long sleeve custom race shirts are available for purchase for $9.
Registration fees listed by event are $29 for the 5K, $32 for the 10K, and $12 for the Kids Fun Run. Virtual entry fees are $44 for the Virtual 5K and $48 for the Virtual 10K. Registration opens and closes on dates specific to each event; the kids fun run registration closes in February 2027 and the 5K and 10K registration windows close in December 2026.
Virtual participants run the distance where and when it works for them. Virtual race packets, which include a bib number, shirt, and finisher's medal, are shipped by the Monday following the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
