Event overview
The Great Santa Run 5K takes place on December 14, 2025, at Park Place in Leawood (11549 Ash Street, Leawood, KS 66211). The event includes an in-person 5K, a kids fun run called the Little Elves Fun Run, and a virtual 5K option. Participants in the virtual and kids events receive a finishers medal and race shirt. In-person 5K participants may add an event shirt for an additional fee.

Registration, packet pickup and fees
Registration fees are nonrefundable. A virtual entry option includes shipping, a shirt and a medal for a stated fee of $45. Packet pickup is held at The Running Well Store locations in the days before the race; leftover packets will be taken to the race site and can be picked up on race day beginning at 7:00 AM.
Charity and awards
The event partners with Operation Breakthrough; a portion of registration proceeds and 100% of meal ticket sales will be donated. Registrants are asked to bring a $10 unopened, unwrapped toy; each donated toy earns a raffle ticket and raffle prizes are drawn after the race. Awards in the 5K include top overall and top masters male and female prizes, plus awards to the top three male and female finishers across multiple age groups up to age 80+.
