About the race
5K-DEN is the 13th annual community running event held at the Sullivan Fairgrounds in Sullivan, MO on September 12, 2026. The event is organized in memory of a child who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age seven and who died in 2014. Proceeds will benefit several children and their families to help with medical and travel expenses.
The event offers these options:
- 5K Timed 5K run, includes a race shirt.
- 1 Mile Untimed 1 mile fun run/walk, includes a shirt.
- Virtual Virtual entry, fee includes shirt shipping.
Registration pricing shown includes mandatory fees. Listed fees during the primary registration window are $34.09 for the 5K, $23.39 for the 1 mile, and $23.39 for the virtual entry. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, September 11 at the Sullivan Fairgrounds Pavilion from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with additional pickup on race morning beginning at 7:00 am.
Awards are planned for the top overall male and female finishers and the top two male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 14 & under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 & over. A course map is available for participants.
