The Piggyback Dash 10K, 5K, 2K
The Piggyback Dash is an annual running event held in Union, Missouri, at 310 Autumn Hill Drive. All proceeds benefit the Lance Purschke Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Union R-XI Foundation. The event is presented by Cregger Family Dentistry.
The event program includes these distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 2K (1.2 mile fun run/walk)
The 10K and 5K share a rolling course through the streets of Union and conclude with a finish at the top of Autumn Hill. The 5K is a single loop course. As 5K runners make the final turn onto Autumn Hill Drive, 10K runners continue straight to run an additional three miles through Union. Aid stations are provided along the 5K and 10K routes, and post race refreshments are available.
The 10K and 5K are chip timed and will have medals awarded. The 2K fun run/walk is not officially timed and does not include medals. At the bottom of Autumn Hill runners may choose to carry another person piggyback-style up the hill to the finish; this piggyback portion is voluntary and not required to finish.
