The Piggyback Dash 10K, 5K, 2K
The Piggyback Dash is the 10th annual race held at 310 Autumn Hill Drive in Union, Missouri. The course runs through the streets of Union with rolling terrain and a finish at the top of Autumn Hill.
Distances
- 10K 6.2 miles, chip timed, medals awarded
- 5K 3.1 miles, single loop, chip timed, medals awarded
- 2K 1.2 miles fun run/walk, not officially timed, no medals
The 10K and the 5K begin together; as 5K runners turn onto Autumn Hill Drive the 10K runners continue straight for roughly an additional 3 miles through Union. Aid stations are provided along the 5K and 10K routes, and post-race refreshments will be available.
Once runners reach the bottom of Autumn Hill there is an optional piggyback segment: participants may carry someone piggyback up the hill to the finish. This is voluntary, the carried person does not need to be a registered participant, and those who carry someone receive an extra piece of finisher swag.
Registration phases are early-bird Feb 24 to Mar 5 2026, standard Mar 6 to Aug 31 2026, and late Sep 1 to race day; online registration ends Sep 23 2026. Registrations after Aug 31 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt. Fees listed are $20 for the 10K, $15 for the 5K, and $5 for the 2K. All proceeds benefit a memorial scholarship fund.
